日本熱帯生態学会は熱帯域で研究を続ける研究者や国際協力やビジネスの現場で活動する人たちの情報交換や協働を促進するために1990年に設立された学術団体です．「生態」という言葉が学会名にありますが，日本熱帯生態学会（JASTE）は生態学だけでなく生態学的アプローチを必要とするあらゆる分野の方の参加を歓迎しております．熱帯の生物と人間社会をテーマとして活動する生態学，資源学，環境学，人類学，民族学など多分野の人々が集い，SDGsの達成にも貢献できる学会として活動を続けています．（「学会の理念」全文はこちらから）

 

The Japan Association of Tropical Ecology is an academic organization established in 1991 to promote information exchange and collaboration between researchers conducting research in the tropics and those working in international cooperation and business.

Although "ecology" is in the association's name, the Japan Association of Tropical Ecology (JASTE) welcomes participation in ecology and any field that employs the ecological perspective. We continue to work as an academic society that brings together people from various fields, such as ecology, resource science, environmental studies, anthropology, ethnology, etc., who work on tropical organisms and human society and can contribute to achieving the SDGs.
